The Root of Righteousness
Week 38

Living for Righteousness is the call for all true believers. The Apostle Peter was very familiar with religion and the Law. When his life was radically changed and he, by faith, was saved, he began to live in the Light of the truth of his Savior, Jesus Christ. Listen to a brief testimony from him as found in 1 Peter 2:21, 24,25.

For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps ... who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose strips you were healed.
For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of you souls.

Living in the Righteousness of God our Savior is a Calling deserving of obedience and joyful praise! Help us Lord to be strengthened by Your Holy Spirit to walk in the Light always! Amen.
