Devotionals 2020 The Root of Righteousness Week 50
The story of Zacharias and Elizabeth has long been a favorite for me. We see early on the amazing testimony of their lives as penned by Luke in Chapter 1: 5-6. It is rather a convicting and telling testimony of God's knowledge and tender trust of those who are humbly living for God. In the days of Herod, king of Judea, there was a priest named Zacharias, of the division of Abijah; and he had a wife from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the LORD. This Christmas season we, as Christians, are given opportunities to share in God’s Son and Savior to the world. What might others see in us that could be used to open the door of hope to the unsaved among us?
Let's shine like Zacharias and Elizabeth and lead a righteous and blameless life for our Savior's sake!
