Heaven Is My Forever Home
Devotionals for 2021
Week 6

As I take time to ponder my forever home, I'm reminded in Scripture that many godly men and women pondered the same thing. Psalm 16:1-11 gives us a glimpse into the heart and soul of David, the shepherd king of Israel. Psalm 16:1 reads; Preserve me O God, for in You I take refuge. Again, in verse 5 and 6 he states: The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup. You hold my lot; The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places. Indeed I have a beautiful inheritance.

Lastly, in verse 11, he states his present and future hope: You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

David truly had a heavenly perspective. May we ponder more deeply this treasure of everlasting life in Christ Jesus our Lord!
