Week 17

A quote from Billy Graham states: Jesus did not die on the cross for people's sin so that we would believe in heaven – but that we would believe in HIM!

Heaven is my forever home, but without Jesus Christ it would be just a dwelling place! For now, as the Apostle Paul wrote:
For me to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:21

That is a powerful statement! To live today for Christ means giving up "me things" and living for Him in "all things." We are troubled and tempted and pursued by all kinds of distractions. But when we live for Christ a soundness, joy, hope and blessing flows through us, and He is honored and glorified! It's a daily work order, complete with spiritual soundness and faith.

We walk by faith, and He sees us through until our time is fulfilled and we see Him face to face. (1 Corinthians 13:12)

Strengthen us Lord for Your name sake today!
Amen.
