Week 32

As a women's ministry teacher, I have spent some time studying in the books of 1st and 2nd Peter. This new study (Lord willing) will be taught next year (Jan '22) and I am blessed to see the power and hope Peter presents in his two Epistles. An appropriate call for Peter to the churches comes in 1 Peter 1:3: Therefore, prepare your minds for action and being sober-minded, set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Peter is cheering on the believers in the midst of severe persecution. He goes on to challenge believers to hold steadfast the TRUTH of the Gospel without compromise or ignorance. Don't be worldly minded, set on self-perseverance.... but be holy, obedient to the Truth. (v.16,23)

May we be in the forefront of truthbearers, holding to the faith and hope we have in God our Savior. Amen!
