Week 44

Continuing the theme of Heaven and the vision John the Apostle had, I'd like to look at Revelation 4:1-4. God's throne is significant.

After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in Heaven, and the first voice which I heard, like a sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said, "Come up here, and I will show you what must take place after these things." Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne was standing in Heaven, and One sitting on the throne. And He who sat there had the appearance of jasper and sardius stone, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald. Around the throne were 24 thrones, and seated on the thrones were 24 elders, clothed in white garments, with golden crowns on their heads.

From God's throne emanates all the glory of Heaven. Try to picture beauty undefiled and radiant, and then magnify that by a 1,000 and perhaps you may just project a minute glimpse into the Glory we will one day experience with our Lord, in His Heaven. Awesome isn't it? :)
