Why Genesis?

This New Year we will look at the Absolute Truth of the Book of Genesis, the Book of Beginnings. Some months age I heard a sermon on Genesis 1:1. The pastor made a profound statement. He emphasized the truth that to understand, believe and live a Biblical Christian life one needs to understand and believe what is being stated in Genesis Chapter 1 about creation and God Himself. If we don't, the rest of the Bible is compromised and ineffective.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

This year we will look at the importance of absolute truth, Christian faith.
A quote from pastor John MacArthur states: In the Bible God speaks, and He speaks in Genesis 1:1 and says He created the heavens and the earth. He is the One who spoke in Genesis 1:1 and who speaks right through Scripture till its very end.
Keep in mind that Genesis means beginnings, origin.

My hope is that this study will stir your heart to understand the awesomeness of our Creator God and His creation!
