Why Genesis?
Week 2

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Genesis 1:1

Genesis means origin, beginning. To understand this truth is to understand a true Christian World View.

Origins is explained from the text of God’s Word; the Scripture. Thinking Biblically is essential to knowing the truth of God's creation and His creative power!

Two thoughts to ponder this week:

1) Romans 3:23-24 state:
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified as a gift by His grace through the Redemption which is in Christ Jesus. (See John 3:16) If the New Testament tells us that the Creator (Genesis 1:1) is the Redeemer and you don’t believe in creation God’s way, then what foundation are you building upon?

2) 2 Peter 3:7,10 tell us Creator God, who created this world, is also going to uncreate everything with fire. If He didn’t create the world then Peter's inspired words (2 Timothy 3:16) are void.

What do you believe? Creation, God's way, matters profoundly! It is either life or death.

Please Lord help us be wise and discerning in our knowledge of You! Amen.
