Why Genesis?
Week 13

11 Truths of Divine Creation

1) The beginning of the universe and time

Now Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
John 17:5

The universe had a beginning (Genesis 1). That beginning introduced the first moment of Time. God stated: In the beginning, so it must also include time. God started the clock in the first moment of time, the beginning of the 1st day (Genesis 1:5). As we read in John 17:5, God exists outside of time and He is also the Creator of time!

In the beginning was the Word
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.

He was in the beginning with God.
All things came into being through Him,
and apart from Him, nothing came into being, that has come into being.
John 11:1-3
