Creation - Biblical Doctrine

We continue to look at Fiat (decree) Creationism this week. The 5th Component states: Quote from p. 216 BC:

Man and woman were created by God as the climax of creation. They were created whole and separately from the rest of creation in the image of God to have dominion
over the earth.

Genesis 1:26a states:
Then God said, let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness.

Genesis 1:27 further states:
God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him, male and female He created them.

The human body was created from the dust of the ground; but the soul/spirit was created directly by God's immediate act. Man has both material and immaterial aspects.

Jesus stated in Matthew 10:20:
Do not fear those who kill the body (material) but are unable to kill the soul, (immaterial) but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

These are truly words to take to heart for every person!
