An unknown author in the Old Testament was compelled by the Spirit of God to write about his love for the Word of God. Psalm 119 stands out as a beautiful masterpiece of acrostic Hebrew writing. This lengthy chapter (longest in the Bible) uses 22 stanza to honor the Word of God. His love for God's word was significant.
As we look at his writing my hope is that we will also desire to read, meditate and study the Bible.
Psalm 1:1-2 states: Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 states: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
Help us Lord to value Your Word and live for You, amen.
