Week Three

Psalm 119 has been called a devotional on the Word of God. With 176 verses, all but 4 verses mention the Word of God in one form or another. Each stanza represents a letter of the Hebrew alphabet and the first word of each verse also begins with the same Hebrew letter of the Hebrew alphabet. Words to look for include:

Law- Torah first 5 books of the Bible
Precept- Appointment, commandment, teaching
Statute- Laws, custom, decree, enactment
Ordinance- Judgment, formal decree, civil or religious justice

As you begin to examine and witness the passion of this writer, observe the intensity of hope he had in trusting God for every outcome of his day. We can benefit greatly from this amazing writing. Aleph is the first Hebrew letter.
