Week Twenty Seven

Psalm 19 continues with a powerful teaching regarding God's word. King David had the written law in his lifetime. He valued it and bore witness to its power. He rejoiced to give testimony to this Divine Author.

Psalm 19:7-8

v.7. The Law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. v.8. The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes.

Each of these 4 parallel lines describe a word for God's Word. They each also describe the affect the Word has on the heart of a believer. If you are looking for restoration, understanding, a rejoicing heart and enlightening direction from God, simply pick up His Word
and prayerfully read!
