Week Forty Seven

The Psalms are rich in life, struggle, praise and prayers. One aspect of the Book is the witness of the Deity of Christ. Psalm 110 and 118 are by far the two most quoted Psalms in the New Testament. This week we will look at Psalm 110:1
The Lord says to my Lord: "Sit at My right hand until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet."

From Matthew 22:44, Mark 12:36 and Luke 20:42-43 we see Jesus pointing directly at the religious leaders and making it clear that this prophecy in this Psalm points to Him - the One who is Divine and Eternal. Father God and Son of God, Co-equal, Sovereign and reigning. He is the Messiah!

Oh, how thankful we should be every day that our God reigns!
