From the New Testament Book of Acts chapter 2: 30-31 we see from Peter's 1st sermon some amazing words: Speaking of king David (v. 25-29) on a future Davidic kingdom. V.30. And so, because he was a prophet and knew that God HAD SWORN TO HIM WITH AN OATH TO SEAT one OF HIS DESCENDANTS ON HIS THRONE, V.31. He looked ahead and spoke of the resurrection of the Christ, that HE WAS NEITHER ABANDONED TO HADES, NOR DID His flesh SUFFER DECAY. (Psalm 89:3, 132:11.) As we reflect on the Incarnation of Jesus the Christ we can see from Psalm 132:10-11. V.10. For the sake of David Your servant, do not turn away the face of Your anointed. V.11. The Lord has sworn to David a truth from which He will not turn back: "Of the fruit of your body I will set upon your throne."
Prophecy fulfilled in Jesus. See Luke 1:26-27 and rejoice! Amen.
