Week Twenty Four

Hannah rejoices in God.
1 Samuel 2: 1

V.1. Then Hannah prayed and said, "My heart exults in the Lord; my horn is exalted in the LORD, my mouth speaks boldly against my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation."

We see from this verse and verses 2-11 just how thankful Hannah was to the LORD for answering her prayer for a child. Her thankfulness was extreme but well worth the sacrifice. Samuel would be raised in the tabernacle at Shiloh by Eli the priest. Her thankfulness was demonstrated in her actions. Christian parents have a responsibility to raise children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It is a huge responsibility but well worth the sacrifices.

Help us Lord to encourage our children and to be thankful for them daily! Amen.
