Prayers from Scripture

Week Twenty Five

A religious man pleads for his child.
Mark 5: 22-23

V.22.
One of the synagogue officials named Jairus came up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet V.23. And implored Him earnestly, saying, "My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live."

We see in this plea (prayer to Jesus) that the synagogue official knew the true source of powerful healing. He was not afraid to seek out Jesus for his daughter's healing. The Lord desires for us to come to Him for our needs and trials. He has the power to heal and heal completely. We can be bold to come to the Throne of Grace for help in our time of need. The question is: Do we? (Read Hebrews 4:13)

Thank you, Jesus, for Your healing and help. Amen.

From my heart to yours,
