Prayers from Scripture
Week Thirty Five
David requests bold prayer for his family.
2 Samuel 7:18, 29
V.18. Then David the king went in and sat before the Lord, and he said, "Who am I, O Lord God, and what is my house, that You have brought me this far?
V.29. Now therefore, may it please You to bless the house of Your servant, that it may continue forever before You. For You, O Lord God, have spoken; and with Your blessing may the house of Your servant be blessed forever."
This humble prayer of king David reveals a heart of gratitude and confident assurance of his faith in the one true God. We can approach the throne of grace to help us, encourage us and bless our families as we place our trust in the God of our salvation!
