David's eternal perspective on life.
Psalm 39: 6-7

V.6. "Surely every man walks about as a phantom; surely they make an uproar for nothing; he amasses riches and does not know who will gather them. V.7. And now, Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in You."

David speaks to the Lord with a frank observation about himself and life in general. He speaks to the Lord honestly of his one true heart's desire: "My hope is in You."
