Women In Discipleship has a four-fold mission: |
- To confirm in the hearts of women the basics of Christian faith.
- To give refreshment to a woman’s prayer life, worship of God, and Bible study.
- To introduce women to a community of relationships and help them discern God's plan and purpose for their lives.
- To offer a safe place to grow in discipleship, fellowship, and accountability for the believer in Jesus Christ.

Statement of Faith: |
- All Scripture is verbally inspired as originally written and therefore the only infallible and inerrant Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21; Matthew 5:18; 1 Corinthians 2:13) The Bible IS the Word of God. We cannot accept the misleading statement: "The Bible contains the Word of God."
- There is one living and true God who exists in three Persons-Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). The Father is God (1 Corinthians 8:6) the Son is God (Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1, 14; Hebrew 1:8-10) and the Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:3-4)
- We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His substitutionary atoning death through His shed blood, His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory (Matthew 1:21-23;3:17;28:7, John 12:37; Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 4:15)
- All people inherit a depraved nature and are lost sinners in need of salvation (Romans 3:9-19, Ephesians 2:1-3)
- We are saved and justified when we recognize ourselves as sinners, and put our trust in Christ as the Son of God and His finished work on the cross of Calvary. Salvation is by grace through faith plus NOTHING (Romans 3:24, 4:5; Ephesians 2:8-9) The good work God has for the believer to do is done out of a heart filled with gratitude and love because of the Great Gift of Salvaiton which has already been imparted fully in the believer by faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-10; Galatians 2:20; Colossians 1:9-12)
- Once saved, we cannot be lost; we are eternally secure in Christ (John 3:16; 10:27-29; Phillipans 1:6, Romans 8:38-39)
- We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life, empowered to witness and given spiritual gifts for the common good of the Body of Christ, the Church (John 7:37-39; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22-23; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7; 1 Peter 4:10)
- A) We should regularly participate in the Lord's Supper (1Corinthians 11:23-32)
B) All believers should be baptized as an act of obedience, but not for securing their salvation. (Acts 2:41; 19:4-5; Matthew 25:46)
- Upon physical death we believe in the immortality of the soul. At the point of physical death a person enters into a timeless eternity forever abiding either to eternal life or to eternal torment. (Luke 16:19-31; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Luke 23:42-43; Ephesians 3:1-10)
- The grace of God teaches us to "live soberly, righteously, and godly (Titus 2:22-13)
A) Titus 2:13 "Looking for that blessed hope" of His returning for us.
B) Colossians 3:2-3, I John 2:15-17 Setting our "affection on things above, not on things on earth."
C) 2 Corinthians 6: 14-18 Living a life of separation from the world.
D) We believe in separation "unto God" (Romans 1:1; 16:17; 2 Corinthians 6:17-18; 2 Thessalonians 2:15; 306; 1 Timothy 6:3,5)
E) As believers in Jesus Christ we are called to go forth with the Gospel message. As the Lord leads we are to share our faith with others and fulfill the great commission to "make disciples of all nations", teachng, encouraging, admonishing and loving those who are the Body of Christ. (Matthew 23:18-20; John 13:34-35; 2 Timothy 4:5; Ephesians 4:11-13; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
