Week Fifty

And you Bethlehem, land of Judah, are by no means least among the leaders of Judah; for out of you shall come forth a Ruler who will Shepherd My people Israel.
Matthew 2:6

Bethlehem Ephrathah is significant in the prophetic historical truth of the birth of our Messiah ... We looked at this in Week 46. We saw that Micah, an Old Testament prophet, documented the future appearing of the birth of Christ in Bethlehem. What is most interesting and disturbing is that the priests and scribes in that day had the prophecy and knew it very well. King Herod sought the advice of these so called learned men, and they quoted here from Micah 5:2.

As we celebrate this Christmas season, let us be reminded that the story doesn't end with Messiah, Immanuel as a baby or as a Man of sorrows. We have John's Revelation telling us so much more. He who testifies of these things says, Yes, I am coming quickly. Amen. Come Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen. Revelation 22:20-21 Preparing for Christmas? Prepare also for His Re-Appearing! Amen, Come Lord Jesus.
