Weekly Devotional - Week 25

For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, Abba Father. - Romans 8:13-15

Back in Week 6 of this series we looked at the Act of Prayer in a Christian’s Character. Earlier in this Chapter in Romans we see some profound truth that bolsters our Christian Character and give strength to the conduct of our lives. Walking by God’s Spirit produces “life.” We are God’s adopted kids! We can cry out to Him and He hears us. We have His power to resist the old habits of the flesh. We have His nature now (1 John 4:7). We are born of God! Jesus made this possible on the Cross. In our daily conduct, we are healthy when we walk being “led by the Spirit of God” and He calls us sons of God. Wow! Help us Lord to walk Your walk today. Amen.
