WOMEN IN DISCIPLESHIP (sm)
WALK OF GRACE My Spiritual Service of Worship
WEEK ONE -- GRACE
DAY FOUR
SING: O Worship the King (Hymnal #10)
"Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship." (Rom. 12:1)
We have learned that grace is unearned, unmerited favor with God. It is the gift of Jesus, who died on the cross, bearing our sins. By His willing act of love and obedience to God, Jesus provided grace for us, the "brethren." We are members of His household, saints, and children of God. We live for Him by faith.
1. Read 2 Corinthians 5:14-17, and explain the WALK OF GRACE as described by Paul.
2. Read John 1:1-17. Who is the true light?
3. According to verses 16-17, what have we received in Jesus Christ?
4. Read 1 John 1:5-7. What can we have with God, and how is this possible?
5. What does Jesus' blood do for us? How is this evidence of grace?
APPLICATION: Are you experiencing the joy of fellowship with God today? Is there any "darkness" in your life that you need to confess (1 John 1:9), so you can be restored to walking in the "light" with Jesus?
SING: Shine, Jesus, Shine (Come & Worship #155)
